I personally believe in religious freedom. However, the area between where your church doors end and my civil rights begin is why in this country we have separation of church and state. This is not a Catholic country, nor a Mormon one, nor even a Christian one, though many on the Christian right seem to forget that. (Do you HEAR me Rev. Huckabee?) I'm neither a Catholic, nor a Mormon. Why should either of those churches have had any say on my right to a civil marriage or for that matter, any business wading into the fray that was Prop 8, here in California? As far as I'm concerned, once you cross that line, you're no longer a tax exempt religious organization, but a political organization and should be taxed as one.
Exorcism? Oh please, Father, save the theatrics for another time. I'm a happily married gay man, not Linda Blaire. Even the head of your church appears to have the good sense to stay out of this.
