LOL at least you already know what you are going to wear, unlike my clothing adventures until the last moment before my sister's wedding.

Good luck surviving the wedding! :)

Dari, I'm looking forward to it. This one is going to be different. Weddings in our family tend to be very formal & elaborate affairs, with very expensive clothing. The last one my husband & I rented tuxedoes.

The invitation on this wedding was playful and different from any I had ever seen. Near the bottom was a drawing of suggested attire. The 2 female figures had short hemlines, one a miniskirt that could have passed for a belt. Of the two male figures, one was in a sport coat over a pair of shorts. I sent my sister an email asking if I should have my suit pants cut down to Bermuda shorts. Her response was that she was that she would be the lady in red. I'm planning to wear my light grey tropical weight suit, with a bold red shirt, and tie that marries those colors.

We have 3 events this wedding to dress for - the rehearsal dinner on Friday night, the wedding and reception Saturday evening, and a brunch to follow late Sunday morning. The rehearsal dinner is at a trendy Manhattan eatery, the wedding 90 minutes north on a historic farm, and the brunch at the Yale club in Manhattan (the bridal couple met while students at Yale).
