Roberto Gonzalez' support is slipping?

Yesterday morning, after LJ and I pulled our collective butts out of bed, and as I was b'fasting on a good cuppa tea and some sliced mango, we sat and watched the Senators grilling Mr. Gonzalez. I would have preferred a morning of intense lovemaking with my husband, but watching Mr. Gonzalez twist in the wind, while REPUBLICAN Senators publicly reamed him a new one, was almost as much fun. I didn't get his name, but I did catch his party affiliation (the talking heads afterward ID'ed the man as a conservative Republican) and hearing that Senator tell Gonzalez point blank he should resign, was nothing short of wonderful. AND the man enjoys Dubya's full support! The current administration just doesn't get it. The man looks like an absolute fool.
On another topic, have y'all seen the new $1 coins? They'll be minting a new one 4 times a year. They started with Washington (quelle surprise!) and will be going in order with each president. Now, only the deceased may be pictured on our currency by law (I don't really want to think what that means about our liberty), but I think there is ample president to put our current president on the next $1 coin minted.
After all the man HAS to be dead from the neck up.
