Call me an optimist. Almost all the pundits, and so many of the polls, are predicting a landslide, tornado, tsunami,(insert the natural disaster of your choice here) for Republicans. It's hard for me to believe that the American public can be this short sited.
Yes, the economy sucks. Yes, we're in two wars. Yes, we have a record setting deficit going on.
And who the hell put us here?
I seem to remember when Clinton left the White House, this country was in the black. And we were neither in Iraq nor Afghanistan. Not that Democrats were blameless in the past decade, but since they've been in the driver's seat, what's happened?
Health Care reform? check.
Current extension of health coverage to over 4 million kids? Check.
Bank reform? Check. (well somewhat.)
Prevention of a second Great Depression. (so far, yeah) check
I don't have much trouble with my memory.
If you talk to the majority of folks, they do favor what the policies the Dems espouse. Talk to everyone you know. Get them to the polls. If we sit home, we lose.
