Marriage Equality passes in New Zealand....

It passed in Parliament last night. Well, today actually because of where the internat'l date line is.

Marriages will become legal for same sex couples this coming August.

Uruguay passed marriage equality in their senate the beginning of the month, which followed their house last December. There are some details to be worked out between the two bills, like the age of consent to marry differs between the two, but that is expected to be sorted out soon & same sex couples there are expecting nuptials by this summer (make that winter - they're south of the equator)!
