A simple question....
Mar. 18th, 2019 08:22 amThe horrific attack this past weekend in Christchurch killed 50 non-white, non-Christians dead while in their houses of worship. This smacks of Pittsburgh, with 5 times the carnage. In both attacks, a white supremacist armed to the teeth gunned innocents down. Those gathered in prayer became prey.
The gunman in New Zealand, a man not even from that country himself, issued a voluminous manifesto on line, moments before his attack, a manifesto that apparently mentioned our president in it.
Answer me this; why is it impossible for this president to declare that white supremacy is wrong, in so many words? From his bully pulpit he has chosen to divide and demean. He is both the symptom and the cause. He may not have lit the fire, but he continues to fan it. You can pour water onto a fire or kerosene. At every opportunity, this man chooses the latter, not the former.
By the way, without question, there will be changes in New Zealand with regards to their gun laws, something the US seems incapable of doing.
