Freecycle.......
Oct. 3rd, 2005 04:32 pmAfter my last post I realize I never gave credit where credit was due. Freecycle is a wonderful thing.
When the fridge died last month, I posted to the local freecycle group that I NEEDED a fridge. The following morning I had two offers. The next day, I borrowed a friend's pickup and drove over to look at the first fridge, which I trundled right back to my office. Now granted it took almost two hours to clean, and reverse the door, plus I had to take off several of the office doors to get the thing into the room to which it had to go. However, I did not have to shell out $400-500 to buy another fridge, for which this bear is extremely grateful (as he sips his homemade frappacino!).
