T minus 4 and counting.......

Well it looks like everything is set; I'm pray I didn't just give it the evil eye, by saying that! Now I just have to get through the weekend - a holiday weekend when I'm oncall for my group.

My husband and I are taking our first vacation together in five years. We're leaving for the island of Maui early Tuesday afternoon.

Let's see:

• Housesitter? Check


• Physicians assistant minding the office? Check


• Colleague backup for physicians assistant? Check


• Cross coverage for regular patients? Check


• Cross coverage for obstetrical patients? Check


• Friend to walk dog? Check


• Friend to get housesitter (who does not drive) to his doctor's appointment? Check!


So now, all I need to do is get my one hospital inpatient out of the hospital, get another lady delivered, pack for the trip, and buy myself a gallon of sunscreen. I am a majorly white boy after all, don't ya know!

Oh and I must remember to call Mom.

All I want is a week when I have absolutely NO responsibilities other than some R&R.

I heartily recommend Neutrogena's current line of sunscreens. They've got some of the best vehicles I've ever used - they don't leave me feeling greasy, don't seem to collect sand and dust....

Sure, they're not cheap - but your skin is worth it!

It's *about time* that you two have some husband-and-husband time on vacation together! And you deserve the time away, too, Weaver.

Don't worry about a thing...get over there and enjoy yourselves (take lots of pictures, too!). I plan to live vicariously through you on this :)
