A left-handed complement.....
Apr. 28th, 2007 01:16 pmLast night, I stopped at the RRR on the way home to ask Dan (my friend, the karaoke jock) a question. I hadn't planned to stay or sing, as I wanted to get home. We had plans (marital plans!). Anyway, I parked and was locking up the car when a woman walked up to the car next to mine and growled at me.
"Damn it, you're here!"
"Excuse me?"
"I come to hear YOU sing," she continued "and there's no karaoke tonight. Dan went to the city last night and his car broke down." With that she shook her head, got into her car, and drove off.
A left-handed complement for someone pissed off. At least I think it was a complement.
