Yes to getting married in the Gazebo, and no to getting married under the care of Meeting. His feelings is that will take too long, and he wants to get this done. Yes to having Ruth officiate if she's available.
SIMPLE. He wants simple. When I gave him the list of people who want to attend, he blanched visibly. He's a very shy man by nature and having more than a dozen people watch us make our commitment to one another does not appeal to him. Certainly means a smaller wedding cake.
The moment I mentioned a wedding cake, his brow furrowed deeply. Wedding cake? Food?
