I am a very happy camper at the moment.
Rummaging through the clothes closet this morning I came across a pair of pants that I've always been rather fond of. They're pair of Levi's cargo pants, which when I first purchased umpteen years ago, I had to take in. I threw a pair of pleats across a rather lightweight waistband and voilà they were ready to wear. Well two or three years back, I had to let those pleats out again. At least two years ago I stopped wearing them altogether.
This morning they came out of the closet and I went up to the sewing loft to put those pleats back in, as well as repair the hem. I still wouldn't dare wear these without a belt, but I am indeed wearing them.
On my way up into the loft I spotted a field coat that had been relegated to the garage as it was too small. Well it's now in the laundry; I tried it on and it buttons up comfortably. To boot, the coat is labeled 3X from lands End, so the sizing is a bit more reliable. I also came across a wonderful dark green button down, also from Lands End that also now fits once again.
I've just come from Goodwill having downsized some things that I will never use ever again. It's time to head to the gym now, no time to sit on my laurels. There's an elliptical in there with my name on it, waiting for me.
