What the hell was I thinking.....
Dec. 9th, 2019 10:25 pmAt 10pm last night my husband turned to me and requested a latte.
“Sure,” I said, “no problem.”
It was one of those rare evenings, when I thought, “oh that sounds good.” So I went ahead and made us each one, but rather than add a dash of homemade vanilla as I do 99.9% of the time, I added a shot of hazelnut liquor to each. Bloody delicious.
At 3:15am, I was still staring at the ceiling.
Now I know, I truly, bloody well KNOW, I cannot drink coffee after 6 pm, if I intend to sleep. Last time I looked 10pm was 4 hours after that. Even ‘marital time’ was no help sleep wise. Most men are out cold within 10 minutes of an orgasm. Not this guy. Especially, not after caffeine. My husband? No problem. He can put the coffee cup on his nightstand, to finish the cup if he awakens sometime during the night, before turning over to go back to sleep. That’s for sure, not me.
I fell asleep somewhere after 3:30, the last time I remember looking at my watch. The phone rang at 7:35.
It’s now 10 pm & I’m fighting to stay awake after last night’s sleep disaster. Time to get horizontal.
