A canine WTF moment.....
Jan. 5th, 2020 09:01 amWe’ve got a big screen Roku tv in the sitting room. There was a huge sale at Costco last September, so we decided to splurge. The dogs generally ignore it, unless there are sirens on a particular broadcast l, in which case, they start howling. Sit and watch the thing? Not that I’ve seen, at least until now.
There was an ASPCA commercial just now which showed numerous close up shots of dogs shivering in the snow. Lilith, now 8 months old and freshly fixed, stared intently at the screen, eyes following each pooch on the screen, and sniffing the air, confused; the look on her face was absolutely clear. She was questioning; “I see you! Why don’t I smell you?” She walked right up the the screen and sniffed, moving from one image to the next with her nose. She cocked her head to the side with this WTF look on her face. The commercial ended and she turned and laid down at my husband’s feet, then glanced at the TV again and seeing no canines set her head down on her forepaws.
