So the news just hit the wires; the 9th district will rule tomorrow in the prop 8 appeal.

While I know they are likely to uphold Judge Walker's decision. I'm still uneasy. Moreover, my husband is on the other side of the country this moment visiting my mother-in-law. I want him here. If the ruling is against us, I'm gonna need his shoulder to cry on.

I had not expected to have prop 8 succeed in the first place, nor had I expected it to be as emotionally wrenching as it has proved to be for me personally. On my better days, I'm angry, but secure that we will win our rights. Other times, not so much.
I remain incredulous; WTF did I do to engender such emnity?

I can still recall the GUT PUNCH I felt on election night in 2008 when a black man was elected President but states in four different time zones voted against gay civil rights.

"Oh, the black guy's ok, but you faggots can go to Hell."

I expect that the Ninth will uphold Walker's decision, but am scared about the Supreme Court eventuality, regardless of whether the decision was written as a love letter to Justice Kennedy...

Hoping for the best!

I had not expected prop 8 to pass either, but we will win in the end.
