Shopping in the normal section..

Well today a package arrived from Lands End.

Clothes. (Go figure) And they fit!


This is somewhat of another milestone. I've been shopping their big men's section for a long time, and paying the increased prices they have for larger men's things (not that the increased price is outrageous. Its just a bit annoying.)

Well for the first time in I cannot remember how long, I shopped their regular sizes. Granted their regular sizes go up higher than many (up to a XXL in shirts/sweaters/jackets, up to a 46 in pants, as opposed to XL and 44 most places elsewhere), but they come at the same price as the remainder of the regular line.

I got a pair of 46 chinos with a flannel lining, a fair isle sweater vest (marked down to $15, with a 20% off coupon to boot!) and a couple of 100% cotton sweaters, the last 3 all XXL. They fit! AND no fat boy surcharge!

Whee! I could definitely get used to this.

One of the thing I find annoying about B&T clothing is that they were not designed with B&T people in mind. I have a pair of pants where the two belt loops bracketing the zipper are more than a foot apart!

Pictures are now often reality testing for me. I may think I look good in something and then a photo will make me rethink that.
