So a State court judge in Arkansas just found their State constitutional amendment banning marriage equality unconstitutional. No stay has been issued. Pulaski County's clerk is ready to issue gender-neutral marriage licenses come Monday, if there's no stay by then. Amen!!

Here's hoping that NOM's president Brian Brown's head explodes when he hears about Arkansas!

No stay has been issued

…yet, but the chickenshit Attorney General, while falling over himself to babble about how he supports marriage equality and respects the court's decision, says he will file for a stay "so as not to create confusion or uncertainty about the law" and will appeal. Gosh, he feels just awful, but his hands are tied! He has no choice! Et cetera, et cetera, blahbitty blah blah blah.

(I bet if he sounds out the hard words like "unconstitutional", he can read them all by himself!)

This is the first volley in Arkansas. Yes, the AG is a two-faced ass. But in the end, it's now even more clear, we are going to win this. When courts in Texas, Virginia and Arkansas are ruling in our favor, the handwriting is on the wall. Change is in the wind & it's scent is sweet.

I'm old enough to remember Stonewall; this degree of societal change is one we dared not even dream possible when Stonewall happened. Yet here we are, within my lifetime, no less.
