I didn't used to cry at weddings......
Apr. 27th, 2015 12:11 pm...then our community started getting marital rights.
Pictures of gay men and lesbians standing with their intendeds, saying "I do" especially when they've waited decades to be able to do so now routinely leaves me tearful.
We married July 20th, 2008 on our 27th anniversary together. The moment was magic and powerful - enough so that if you ask me how long I've been married, I'm truly unable to answer with certainly if it will be 7 years or 34.
This much I do know. I love him and my life is inextricably linked to his and will stay so as long as we live.
