Observations....

Yesterday, after finishing all the dyeing and having washed the last of the projects out, and put away all the supplies, I waved goodbye to Rob and Leigh Ann, who'd come over to play, hang out and help clean up. I then sat myself down on the edge of the deck, to savour a cup of tea and watch the trees sway in the breeze. James was sitting on the steps coming down from the deck, petting Aaron who in turn was lying in the shade, tail wagging and striking the wooden deck each downstroke. (Pet me. Pet me, NOW!) My husband had gone out to pick up our 5 year-old god-daughter, who'll be staying with us thru Wed.

Looking up at the trees that surround our home, actually at the forest beyond our walls, I could not help but think of how fortunate I am to live surrounded by such idyllic beauty.
