Smoothing the landing....

Last Friday was my last regularly scheduled date for seeing patients. I have, as of this morning, completed all outstanding patient encounters and am furiously packing up things here in the office. This morning I will finish packing up the books and the fragiles and will run stuff not being kept (old books and things) to Goodwill or some other charitable organization. I still have to meet with my insurance person to look at health plans starting for September AND I still need to pack up the things I plan to sell on eBay (surgical tools, BP cuffs, etc.). I have 8 days to pack up an office of almost 30 years.
So far two of my 4 full time staffers have found new employment, one last week with a full time offer and one last night. I had a hand in last night's hire. Of the remaining two, one is considering going into a training program to become a pharmacy tech, which I think would be a great path for her going forward.
I still have to figure out what I'm going to keep from the office.
Back to the grindstone. Way too much to do.
