A nice meal for a send off.......
Aug. 19th, 2007 09:58 pmI have black and red quinoa in the steamer. That alone is almost enough to get James (
ogambear) to orgasm spontaneously. This batch has onion, and dried chantrelles in it with chicken broth as the cooking liquid.
Ahi tuna steaks are marinating in Soy Vey, to be seared on high heat for 3 minutes. Crimini mushrooms, red and yellow sweet onion and spinach are sitting stir fried ready to be re-heated, and served. I'll serve it all with the 2 Buck Chuck Chardonnay that won the double gold at the Cal State Fair this summer.
I like to cook and I love making food that make my friends and family roll their eyes and lick their lips. However, with James leaving to head back to texas to see his father, whose birthday is this coming Wed., I want him to really enjoy breaking bread here, now that this is home. I want him home soon, safely and ready to get on with life.
