We have plenty of hummingbird friendly plants in our yard, but the dry heat here sometimes decreases the amount of nectar produced, so a supplementary food source is a great kindness.
It also helps you to decide where the hummers be for sighting; 6 feet from where I'm having b'fast and coffee works wonderfully for me!
