Hellzapoppin!
Oct. 3rd, 2005 04:14 pmAlright, y'all had your fun at the beginning of the year, and now my sleep pattern is going to hell.
Two deliveries in a 12 hour period between Friday afternoon and the wee hours of Sat. AM. No sleep for me on Thursday night (well 3 1/2 hours), and no sleep for me on Friday night (well, 4:30 am thru till 7:55am, if you can call that sleep). Finally a whopping 7 hours of continuous unconsciousness, Sat night thru Sunday morning. I got 9 hours last night and finally feel somewhat human again.
At the moment I'm vainly trying to plow thru paperwork on my desk, while sipping a home made, no-sugar, no fat, no calorie, almond frappacino. Amen for coffee ice cubes. I splurged and got a decent stick blender last week (a Braun) at Chez Costco. At the end of each day, rather than dump the undrunk coffee, in to the ice cube trays it goes and once a day or so, I treat myself to a frappacino, with the coffee ice, some Splendafied Torani syrup, some Carb control skimmed milk. 30 seconds with the stick blender and I'm in fat (or not so fat) city. For the price of one Starbuck's frappacino, which has more calories in the drink than I had for breakfast and lunch combined, I can get a whole bottle of the sugar free Torani syrup as Cash and Carry.
Well, back to work.
