A better mousetrap
Dec. 19th, 2007 07:18 pmThe other day my office manager brought in a new teapot made by Bodum, the french press coffemaker people. They're now making a teapot that works along similar lines.
The infuser basket for the tea leaves has roughly 3/4" at the bottom where there are no perforations. The infuser basket also has a french press style plunger on it, so when you push it down, the tea leaves are trapped below the level of the perforations and are held away from the tea. No more bitter tea from tanins leeching out of the leaves, after the tea is ready to pour and drink.
Well done!
