the journey continues...
Oct. 16th, 2005 06:12 pmWell its been 13 days on Byetta. I've gleefully and gratefully said goodbye to 20 lbs. This is decidedly a good thing. The hunger continues to be radically reduced and the early satiety remains unchanged. All I can say is amen and hosannah on high.
I've spoken with a couple of friends who've had the roux-en-Y bariatric surgery, both of whom tell me what I'm experiencing sounds like what their experience has been since having their procedures. Time will tell if this will give me a similar result. All I know is I'm eating small amounts and feeling perfectly content with them for the first time in I cannot remember how long.
Today's intake was an egg & swiss b'fast sandwich on whole wheat toast, half eaten for b'fast and the other half for lunch. That plus a high fiber tortilla and a cup of coffee, and so far thats it for the day. Thats a grand total of about 500 cal. I'll have a cup of the chili I made yesterday for supper and perhaps a peice of fruit for dessert and that'll be it for the day. The great news is this isn't torture.
