G'morning.........
Apr. 5th, 2008 09:59 amI feel SO hippy-dippy, organic this morning.
Not on call, unless someone goes into labor and since no on is due for 3 weeks I should be OK. We both awakened a bit before 7 and spent the early morning doing what happily married couples often do. Once finally out of bed at nine, I padded off to the kitchen with tea and b'fast in mind.
It's still a bit chilly in the fog of the morning here on the river, and Lapsang Souchong sounded appealing. The mango in the fruit basket was at the perfect peak of ripeness, so it got peeled, then chunked and put under a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Whole wheat went into the toaster for my husband, while a couple of Dr Praeger's Spinach Pancakes that
eireangus was praising last month, sounded like nice foil for my mango and cheese. By the way Angus, they cook up very nicely on a non-stick griddle, as opposed to the broiler the box recommends. When done they went on to a plate next to a ramekin of Nancy's organic non-fat plain yoghurt and with that I padded back to the sitting room with the b'fast tray, said grace with my husband and had what felt like a feast. Nothing so civilized as an organic b'fast and tea in the sitting room.
The sun has come out, and the fog burned off as I sipped my tea. I'm ready now to get on with my day, my outlook as sunny as the day outside.

Date: 2008-04-06 06:06 am (UTC)Thanks for the advice about cooking them in a non-stick griddle. I always tend to cook them in the oven.
