Fill this out about your SENIOR (last) year of high school. The longer ago it was, the more fun the answers will be!! Share yours!
1. Did you date someone from your school? No.
2. Did you marry someone from your high school? Bizarre, but yes. My husband graduated from the same school 2 1/2 years before I did.
4. What kind of car did you have? Car? In NYC? Hell, no! I took the subway to school. Didn't get my driver's license until I was 19.
3. Did you car pool to school? Only if riding with a friend on the subway counts
5. What kind of car do you have now? a black 2001 Mercedes C230
6. It's Friday night...where were you? Likely hanging with the band I was in.
7. It is Friday night...where are you? on a good night, out to dinner and then sex with my husband; on a bad night, admitting someone to the hospital.
8. What kind of job did you have in high school? I only worked during the summers, and it was a bike delivery boy for a butcher on Manhattan's Lower East Side. You should have seen my thighs! I could crack walnuts with them! It still did not get me laid however.
9. What kind of job do you do now? Family Doc.
10. Were you a party animal? No, too much or a geeky nerd.
11. Were you considered a flirt? No, too much or a geeky nerd.
12. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Yes.
13. Were you a nerd? Oh, yeah, but sort of a leftist, political protesting nerd. It was afterall the early 70's,
14. Did you get suspended or expelled? Never. It wasn't even a consideration AND my father would have killed me.
15. Can you sing the fight song? Fight song? Not even sure there was one. Three letters here. NYC.
16. Who was/were your favorite teacher(s)? There were two. Mr. Jensen who taught theater and Frank McCourt who taught English. That was the Frank McCourt, as in the guy who wrote "Angela's Ashes".
17. Where did you sit during lunch? As often as weather permitted, in the park next to the school.
18. What was your school's full name? Stuyvesant High School
19. When did you graduate? 1972
20. What was your school mascot? I have no bloody idea
21. If you could go back and do it again, would you? Probably, it was a good experience for me. Got me out of the local neighborhood school I would have gone to which had a graduating class my year of 1900 and was on triple session(can you say baby boom?). The Stuy was a magnet school for the whole of NYC, which you had to test high enough to get into. My graduating class was all of 640, of which 638 went on to college.
22. Did you have fun at Prom? What Prom? It had been an all boys school until my year and them there were all of 12 girls in my class. It went co-ed after a court challange the year I entered. Every class thereafter was 50-50. There was no Prom back then, and I kinda doubt they have one now.
23. Do you still talk to the person you went to Prom with? Non applicable
24. Are you planning on going to your next reunion? No.
25. Do you still talk to people from school? Does my husband count? What about my sister? However, from my own class year, actually only one, and that's extremely sporadic, but honestly, I live 3000 miles away from the school.
