Another 5 weeks....

I'm both bummed and jazzed.
Saw the orthopod again this morning and he knew just what to do for a cast on a chronically swollen arm; put a split in it! So, I am now in a short arm fiberglass cast (fashionable in blue) that has an opening down my arm on the extensor surface, from my elbow to my 4th knuckle. Not too tight, not too loose. The good news is I will heal without sequella, but the bad is I will be in this contraption for another 5 weeks. Now I have to figure out who delivers my patients until December.
Crikey.
