According to the software rep I spoke with this morning they had a programmer working on our problems until 1 am this morning. How is the program behaving itself, today you ask? Light years better than yesterday. I am so relieved I cannot tell you.

I was actually able to log on and sing off on all the outstanding labs and my PA's outstanding charts in less than an hour. And there was a pile to work on.

Turns out from what the rep said, the program had become horridly fragmented, bits strewn all over the hard drive. Apparently just this program, as everything else was running without any trouble. (and yes, we do defrag the server on a regular basis. They are going to run a defrag on the program once weekly and there will be a programmed fix to their system in the next edition that will set it to defrag automatically.

Back to the grindstone here; I have tons to do.

At least it's the grind stone not the grindstone fragments. Glad they got it fixed.

There is an old adage that says, "When your only tool is a hammer, all your problems are nails."

Working Networking Security as I do, and seeing all the malware on customers' computers, I was almost certain you had a malware infection.

Glad as I was wrong.
