Barney Frank got married.....

osodecanelaBarney Frank has been someone I have respected for a very long time. He is un-apologetically out, a champion for liberal and Democratic ideals and a strong role model.
And at 72, while still serving in Congress, now legally married.
He and his husband Jim Ready made it legal and official over the weekend. While they did not have the press at their wedding ceremony, they did celebrate with friends and family, just like most other newly wed couples. Unlike many though, the sitting governor of their state, Deval Patrick officiated at their wedding, and their guests included the likes of Nancy Pelosi, the former Speaker of the House.
This makes me happy. Happy for Barney and his groom, may they have many healthy years together ahead of them, and happy for our community.
