osodecanelaMarriage News Watch just reported that SCOTUSBLOG says that SCOTUS has on calendar to announce on Nov. 20th whether they will hear any of the 8 challenges to DOMA that have been heard on the Federal and Federal Appellate Court level, plus an appeal from Arizona on their ban on extending marital benefits to same sex partners of state employees, and last but by no means least, the Prop 8 appeal.
So now we have a date when we will know what they will hear, or not. The Obama Administration weighed in asking them to hear the appeal from the 2nd Circuit that the Appellate Court upheld in Windsor v. IRS.
I hope its not a harbinger, but damn, do I ever have heartburn at the moment.
