That was the week that was...

I'm working on setting attainable short-term goals. Last week was the decision to make this a week when I hit the gym on a daily basis.
Goal met!
Last Sunday I started off with a 5 mile run, and that was followed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday by 3 mile runs. (Mind you all of this running is done on an elliptical stepper. I am not looking to destroy weight-bearing joints.)
Thursday morning the physiatrist I've been seeing, did a series of trigger point injections at tender spots in my left lower leg. She then started on injecting the first of three rather loose ligaments in my ankle, the goal of which is to get the ligaments to scar down and "tighten up". I hadn't expected the ligaments injection and I can tell you honestly, it's not a lot of fun. At the end she warned me I might want to take it easy at the gym when I showed up there that evening.
By the time I made it to the gym I was not so sore and I decided I would run, but not as hard or as long as I normally do. Thursday was a mile and a half followed by two & a half miles on Friday. I ended my week today as I started, with 5 miles.
Tomorrow, I just might take a day off. We'll see what time and motivation allows.
Oh, and as of this week I've crossed the 60 pound mark. 60 pounds down, 105 to go. (Now what was I saying about small attainable goals?)
