osodecanelaJust saw on the AP wire that Bush has commuted the sentence of Scooter Libby. No jail time. Fine stays in place, and while that 1/4 million dollar fine would be dear for most of us, how many folks from this man's support network will find ways to make this little more than pocket change? There's something like 2 years of probation. Probation? Valerie Plame's life will never be the same, but Scooter Libby gets probation?
So what's the value placed on a CIA operative's life, Mr Bush? If the woman is a patriot willing to risk her life for her country, but you and your cronies don't care for her or her husband's politics or statements, putting her in jeopardy is acceptable and not punishable with jail time?
The act of outing this woman sounds treasonous to this citizen, but then, what do I know? I'm just an average citizen. One that's outraged.
