Amused amused So I was seeing a rather hefty Latino bear here in the office today for an immigration exam. (5 foot eight, 280) a very pleasant, amiable man who is fluently bilingual. He's straight and I honestly have no idea if he recognizes how many gay men there are out there who would find him their cup of tea.

In any event, when he stood up I noticed just how flat his feet were (as in I've seen tortillas that weren't as flat as his feet). I asked how much foot pain he has towards the end of his day and it turns out to be significant. That was my cue to go grab my running shoes.

Where my feet any flatter, they would go out on bottom. If I walk barefoot on a damp tile floor, the soles of my feet form suction cups. 2 1/2 years ago my podiatrist introduced me to running shoes specifically for people with flat feet, and now I wouldn't dream of either running or hiking in anything else. I decided to pass that tip along.

I came back into the room with my Brooks Beast that I just acquired off of eBay two weeks ago to have him feel the difference in the footbed of this shoe showing him how it does indeed support the arch that neither of us have. A moment or so later he commented on just how large my shoes are; not many men my height wear a 14 EE. He looked down at my feet and then started to scan upwards, lingering for just a moment at waist level. I smiled and simply said, "no vayas alli". (Don't go there.) His brow furrowed for a moment and then he burst into laughter.
