B’fast....
Feb. 28th, 2018 09:30 amMy go to morning meal most days is a microwaved vegetable frittata. It’s my way of upping my fiber intake, while making sure no veggies in the fridge go to waste. Often it’s something I throw together the night before after I get the dinner dishes done and the kitchen cleaned. That’s what I did last night. Asparagus got roughly chopped, as did the tail end of the remaining Mexican bunching onions & a couple of broccoli stems, some mushrooms and a couple of stalks of celery were sliced on the mandolin. After tossing them all together with some blue cheese crumbles, and the whole shebang sat overnight in the fridge, ready to have the beaten eggs added this morning.

While eating I bit down on something really hard only to find the bolt from the underside of my mandolin.
My husband just shook his bead. “I thought the nuts and bolts of cooking weren’t that literal.”
