The good and the big so good (part 3)....
May. 9th, 2018 10:02 pmFriday was spent running. I was out of the house by 7:30 and in Novato shortly after 10. 101 came to bumper to bumper, 5-10 mph traffic right at the North Petaluma exit, do I hopped off and took the boulevard south thru town. Gratefully? I’d been listening to traffic reports so I was prepared for it and not trapped all the way to the left when things ground to a near halt. I was able to load the remaining pieces of the sectional into the truck bed. They were too long to allow the tailgate to close, but I’d brought enough rope to macrame them in place. They were do well tied into place, the section tied on top was trying to remember its ‘safeword’.
I had them delivered to my back patio and was headed back to Santa Rosa by 3:15. I made a brief detour to pickup a friend in Clearlake who needed a ride south the Middletown, which was on my way.
At half past five, I was listening to my service rep just why this was an uncovered service. Given the cost and that the blocked vent was a known problem enough that the manufacturer had engineered the vehicle to detect and notify you of the problem, but steps you needed to take to prevent the problem were never shown me.
Then it was Costco for supplies, then two stops to pick up CPAP machines that people aren’t using and giving them to a friend who has sleep apnea and simultaneously no health coverage and who’s CPAP died a month ago. I’d put an ad in the local Freecycle group explaining my friend’s situation, and so far two people had responded. Then finally the trip home.
Once home, I finally carried the remainder of the sectional into the living room. And with that, I fell into bed.
Pictures to follow.
