Hey, it was great talking to you too - glad I was able to dispel a bit of the ennui of being stuck in traffic.

My response to being tagged is complete; I would be interested in seeing your reactions. ;)

Jobs: Kaiser Doc-in-a-Box... ugh. It may be irrational, but I loathe Kaiser, after what they did to a friend of mine. (He had a HIV-related brain tumor; instead of treating him, they basically "discussed treatment" until the question was moot, because it had killed him.)

Films: Would you believe I've never seen any of those?

Food: While I don't consume any sort of Dead Animal Body ... I have to admit that I find the smell of seafood especially offputting. And all I put on a toasted onion bagel (my favorite kind) is cream cheese or butter.

Bear411: HISS!

Colors: while I went all Blue Meanie on this myself, I do generally like "jewel tones" of other colors - ruby red, emerald green, that sort of thing. That said, my favorite gemstone is opal, which I consider vastly more beautiful than diamonds - though I wish it were as durable!

Places: ...begging for mercy? Hm. That's verging on TMI. ;) I've never been to Europe, but London is definitely on my list. Said list does tend to focus on the UK, Scandinavia and the Low Countries. On the other hand, I've heard some interesting tales about the Bears in Spain, and that might warrant a look.... ;)

I abhorred my time at Kaiser. There are a handful of things they do well, but working for them was a miserable experience for me. You comment about your friend unfortunately does not surprise me.

Rent the Lion in Winter at your next opportunity. Katherine Hepburn, Peter O'Toole, and a young Anthony Hopkins. They were superb. The film is a feast for the eyes and a wonderful study in family disfunction.

I knew you're a vegetarian as was I at one time in my life. I can do without red meat (unless its still atached to its owner, but lets not go there right this moment, shall we), but bear that I am, fish often calls my name. Love the stuff and found it the hardest to give up during my 4 years as a vegetarian.

Gemstones - odd you mention opals. Find them delights for the eyes and like you I lament they're SO fragile. Just gave Mom another opal pin/pendant Friday night as a early gift for her birthday; an exquisite translucent autrailian stone on the milky side.

Gem tones attract my eye and I use a lot of them in my artwork, as well as almost all shades of blue and green. Besides, red hair calls for green clothing as a balance, at least to my eye.

AND since when is a desire to be begging for mercy in bed TMI? (It's only TMI if you're invited to watch.)
