Tired and a bit disillusioned......
Mar. 8th, 2008 10:58 pmWas just listening to the news as I brushed my teeth. The talking heads were going on about the two Democratic campaigns going after each other and about Obama's decisive win in the Wyoming caucuses, a decisive win that sends 7 of the 12 delegates his way and 5 to Clinton.
He widens his lead by a whole delegate! Wow.
Meanwhile, will either of them bring us a significant change? I'm certain they will be far better than Mr McCain (finger's crossed. His endorsement by Rev. Hagy absolutely squicks me), but will we see universal health care? Will we still be in Iraq 2 years from now? Will either of them bring a change to our economy?
The media made Messers Kucinich and Gravel look like parts of the lunatic fringe and not serious candidates. They were voices calling for something populist and really new. Are the two surviving Democratic candidates still here because they're acceptable to the business powers that be? I wish I knew.
What I do know is that McCain now is the Republican heir apparent, with no one to fight against, and now he gets to sit back and let the Clinton and Obama campaigns do his work for him. The election in Nov. should be the Democrats to lose, and right this moment, I'm fearful that's exactly what these two are going to do.

Date: 2008-03-09 01:43 pm (UTC)Now, I think I understand the logic (somewhat) of not attacking the man who is NOT running for President again, but can it really be that they're all scared silly by GWB? 'Cuz they sure been rollin' over and playin' dead the last seven-plus years.
